A lot of good points in the video. But the only thing he missed is while state university went up in cost due to less tax funding, For-Profits colleges went up exponentially as well. 25 years ago, there were For-Profit schools. Granted they were not big mega chains but they did exist. Mainly for trades or people who could not get into any other school. They were considered expensive back then because they were privately funded. In fact, you could not get a government loan for them. So what's their excuse for not only matching but exceeding the University prices by more then double other then greed. It cant be the teaching salaries, they have been mostly stagnate for the past 20 years and For-Profits dont offer tenure either. They just saw that Universities were charging more, they they figured they could do the same. An now they get 90% of the tuition from the government. There is something seriously wrong with that.
