Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

I don't believe there will be one, but if there is a new buyer, how will they handle rebranding and working with barely literate students?

The recruitment policies HAVE to change. But if a legitimate college comes in, how will they deal with the current mess of a student body. So many are barely able to read and write. It's hard to go in and read the threads because aim so embarrassed about what some students have barely written. And then there are the students the recruit who are deliberately signing loans for stipends and never go to class but a few times. It's my understanding that the student body will continue in whatever school takes over. I sure hope they have a better plan than Outreach. Because that master plan is the biggest pile of crap and it continues to fail, no matter how hard they push us. I hope potential buyers understand and have a plan. Obviously they'll bring in their own business model or plan. But that needs to include helping 50,000 students get an education. And help prep for the education. The classrooms are a disaster.

233, Not all students want change for the better.

199, More like 20-30% of the students are competent to stay. 70-80% need to be dismissed.

The college is open admission, so anyone can attend. I am in the business of changing lives for the better, and this applies to all students.

It sounds like 167 was just trying to explain why there are a lot of typos on these posts, not to accuse the OP of incompetence. 170, the OP made many more errors besides "aim" instead of "I am."

20 - 30% of students need to be dismissed immediately so we can get to work righting the ship. These students are like bad debt; the longer you keep them on the books the more costly and difficult they are to get rid of. And yea, a bunch of employees would have to be let go as well.

Aim instead of I am is hardly a ton of typos. It's autocorrect, not typos. You must be one of those who thinks you'll still have a job after this term. Bullies don't bother me, pal. Humans make mistakes. So what? Is the world going to end because of a typo or 2? Like I say to my kids when they get over dramatic: Relax. Nobody died. It's not the end of the world.

167, well aren't you lucky you are so perfect. Congrats on that. Bet you are a real hoot at a party. Everyone loves an obnoxious jackass. Oh wait. They don't.

I guess a majority of the current students are using the mobile app for discussion board postings, making tons of typos, just like you just did in your post
