With today's announcement, it is very clear that Icahn is forcing DL to position the company for a sale. Shed assets to clean up balance sheet, unravel complex financing deals, and cutting salaries via layoffs. I sure hope all of my CHK friends can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The light is either new opportunity or Anadarko waiting to swallow up the remaining pieces. Get out while you can. Good luck.

Doug has one mission and that is maximize shareholder value. Why do you think we are reducing payroll and letting people go with experience? He is going chop shop and shake it up until sold and once acquiring company gets it and merges with their operations all these people with no experience will no longer be needed! He is lowering costs and complexity to maximize stock price. Plain and simple!

Why would you let all the high paid talent go and give them a severance? Rehire some good talent back, then hire over over a thousand new employees and several thousand contractors to back fill????? Because Carl and Archie have told Doug to get this POS company ready to sell!!! Look at the leadership and the board, they are driving it into the dirt so far that the DOC can not even steer this shit!!!! Doug will walk away just like Luke Corbit with hundreds of millions and employees screwed for board members profits!!!!
