Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Tampa folks -- I just have to share this with you!

I left in February (RIF) and got a new job fairly quickly at a major financial corp in Tampa Bay. I've been doing very well and already been promoted so I'm earning more than I did at CCi (better bennies, too). Anyway, it seems like 90% of the management at the mall (EUO and Socle) are trying to jump ship. They are probably wondering why they never get a call back when they send us their resumes. Well, it's 'cause CCi/Socle resumes all go to me first to clear. Were you an actual worker who got shit done? I give the all clear. I have not moved even one management or higher level resume on. I don't want those idiots working around me! Don't know about you, but when I read this board and hear about everyone being told it's "business as usual" or that you're "golden" or something, I can't help but think about all those resumes I've seen the past few months. Oh, BTW, quite a few are either falsified or embellished. Never the ones from workers, always the ones from mgmt. Go figure!

@44387 Worried much? Don't take your anxiety out on others just because you know you're screwed once CCI folds.

430 - Excellent post. Regarding 4387, he/she/it, like most anonymous internet bullies, has no desire for frinds or respect. He/she/it is only interestd in making some noise.

Anonymous44387: A few points for you to ponder. POINT #1: Not every job is in a sweatshop environment like EUO/Socle where workers are treated like indentured servants. Generally, workers can take regular breaks and even...gasp!...use the internet. POINT #2: YOU are on this site as well, so...you're not important? POINT #3: Trust me on this one, all of our managers (especially director level and up) are obsessed with this site and on it all the time. I've seen some of them myself and heard others discussing the latest posts. Are they not important in your eyes? And what is the deal with calling all ex-employees "fired"? I've been at Socle for a few years and many have resigned or been laid off and others who really have been fired were kicked out for trying to do the right things. You really need to stop that kind of talk, it doesn't earn you any friends or respect on here.

Ha ha ha! It amuses me to see that our fired employees are working at companies where they are apparently SO IMPORTANT that they can spend their time on a work day at thelayoff.com! If you are as SO IMPORTANT as you think you are, you would not be on here!!! LOL!

OP: BTW, DiP left a couple of months ago and is employed at the same competitor where I've been for almost a year. I'm already hearing that people are figuring out that she's a complete and total imbecile. I'd love to see what that lazy dingbat put on her resume, but for now I'll just let myself be amused watching her crash and burn here! She must have really laid it on thick to get hired after her involvement in the placement issues at CCi.

I was wondering what company it was, but of course -- it has to be Citi! Wow, big party for the managers not to be invited to. I think I know who OP is (EUO manager who left in Feb and couldn't stand CDiP), and want to congratulate you and thank you for keeping the rats out of what seems to be a well run company. Hope to join you there some day!

44359: No, I don't send letters, but I was really tempted to when DiP-S*** sent me her resume. God, you would not believe what a fairy tale that thing was! I knew if she saw my name she'd think "uh, oh, someone who knows better."

With all the playing around with his LinkedIn profile, I just KNOW DS is one of them. I wish I could see his resume for the sheer entertainment value. I'll bet "embellished" doesn't even begin to describe it!
