All smiles and congratulations in front of the little people, but they are truly freaking out in their offices. IMs flying at a furious pace and everyone scared shitless. They were led to believe that Jack and his crew would retain Socle and force the campus buyers into a long-term servicing agreement. Then the Socle brass could keep on mismanaging it and collecting their bloated salaries and the funds would come in anyway. Now the word is that ECMC will own Socle, and are planning on doing a lot of poking around to make sure they're comfortable with the operation, it being a potential regulatory landmine and all. Wow, wait until they start asking employees about their bosses. Bets on how long KD and DS last?

Socle was not called out in the press release because it is simply another department with no true independent status. It would be like saying "we sold Everest....and the furniture at the campuses. "

The announcement also didn't mention that they are purchasing all of the IT infrastructure including the employees - but they are!!!! Socle is part of the deal. All Socle employees should be scrambling for new employment. They will all be gone soon enough.

Really, own Socle? Nothing in any of the information I received mentioned ECMC buying Socle. They are purchasing 56 schools. You better check again.

ECMC already knows the issues. Your letters are a waste of time. They are already developing the reduction in staff and outsourcing plans. Non-profit people will be moving in and, as al lnon-profits do, reduce staff and costs.
OP: People here are already coordinating anonymous letters detailing the stuff ECMC needs to know about those clowns. I suggest keeping it simple. Examples of ethical issues re Title IV and accreditation rules (including expressions of disdain toward them like calling regulations "stupid" or "silly"), examples of abusive behavior toward employees, and some select past and present employees' contact info for more info on what the heck's been going on around here the last couple of years.
641 - I call complete and total BS. ECMC doesn't have their own team to bring in, and no experience in running schools. Also, they've made it clear they want to be the largest non-profit school system, so they're not likely to pare anything down. I'd say a lot of managers will go, both because they'll be so indoctrinated in the toxic "CCi way" and because the employees will be narcing on them. Stop trolling 641 - life's too short!
The whole house means EVERYONE. The ones that will remain will: 1. Be paid less than CCI paid, 2. Train their replacements. ECMC didn't buy CCI to keep anything CCI. Within 3-5 months, you will all be gone.
49635 - I'm an FA, so I happen to know what Socle makes compared to, say, EUO. I wouldn't be looking down on them. "Lowly"? You sound like a real joy to be around!

628: what do you mean by "WHOLE house"? Once they start poking around, the managers are going to mostly have to go. I'd say a few others (BAs, they don't seem to know anything about financial aid), but most reps are pretty good, and ECMC will need to process aid for the schools they just bought.

And people over there are there freaking out over there! But seriously, DS is definitely gone. He brings new meaning to the word abusive, and no company with an HR department would tolerate his ass. I don't know what KD does, but she seems to spend around 7 hours a day, on her one day a week here, in the parking lot chain smoking and cackling on her cell. I've heard a lot of rumors about how she got her job and why she's in Cali so much, but looking at her I'm not buying it. I think she just golfs all day at home in Orlando.
