@Anonymous52226: layoffs are supposed to be super secretive to prevent soon-to-be employees from potential sabotages (i.e. stealing a company's confidential documents/designs/code etc...) They are supposed to be hitting people when they are least expected aka no advanced notices/preparations.
Anonymous52226 - I agree with you 100% - the best place in the world shedding its skin now. It was good while it lasted. We should probably ping or tweet the link to the journalists that covered last year layoffs or even the folks who wrote praises. I put the link on my facebook page, it's closed though, so only my friends can see it - there is probably a dozen or so Qualcomm folks in my facebook friend group.
Hopefully the media will pick up on this..how can this be one of the best places to work if this is how they handle layoffs??? Everything done under the table..just come clean and tell everyone what's up so that people aren't so stressed out and unproductive for such a long period
