My advice to Directors and above is to "just say no" to your evil subconscious which is used to slapping others around. You have been disgusting. And guess what? You have no idea where the proof is. But others do.

....thereby discrediting HR and some leadership wannabes who couldn't find their ass with both hands.

There are a few slide presentations that help make the case that objectives are impossible to attain, and that there are different "classes" of employees who get smacked routinely by others. Then of course there are smartphones, some of which may document crimes against employees by employees.

The qualification for unemployment is much different than what the company can require of its employees. The company can create unrealistic goals, such as the level of smile and dial in admissions, and the company can terminate employment "with cause," but the former employee will still qualify for unemployment.

Thank you so much. I have never been treated so bad in all my life. This is a sick game to them. I honestly feel bad that have to be this low. How can they sleep and look in the mirror.

Ed most likely has all they need at this point. They hit CCi hard in June because they knew from whistleblowers that they had proof of an ongoing practice of getting rid of ethical voices. They are more concerned with transitioning the students out of CCi now. If you have either anecdotal or documented evidence of unethical behavior, feel free to send it to them. Chances are they don't need it, though. They have CCi over a barrel with its pants down.

899 - they don't bother trying to come up with good reasons. HR has told them they can make anything up that they want and then can fire and say it was "with cause." Doesn't matter if there was anything identified as a legitimate performance problem, or if there was improvement after the PIP. They are a teeny bit pickier in CA since they've been sued and the government is more employee oriented. If you get one and it sounds questionable, (1) know you will be fired shortly, so quit (not that it really matters, CCi will be gone by year's end and you can say you quit), and (2) consult an attorney or your state's employment office. It may be a good idea to let ED and the state AGs know what's going on. Their decisions as to what actions to take are based on an overall impression of CCi's ethical state. If allowing them to continue on is harming students (e.g. not getting a good education) or employees, they will be less hesitant to pull the plug. In my case, I received a PIP and did not quit. I had already contacted ED and I (and they) were interested in seeing if they would fire me with no reason. I was fired (I still got a better job within a month, easier in some fields and locales, I'm IT). ED definitely considered it a response to the ethical concerns I was expressing over our data. It didn't stop the firing, but feels great to know ED realizes that it's dealing with total snakes. They really, really want the CCi execs screwed in the end.

I asked them.... what are the reasons for the write up. Not peeling the onion and and asking for referral. The student was looking for a job and has a Masters.

Stupid question; don't you have to have goals not met in order to be a.) put on a PIP and b.) terminated as a result of the PIP?

I have not had a single specific goal, or a discussion about my goals in my entire time at CCi. Can they really do that?

PIP= performance improval plan, but as noted it's the company's way of firing "with cause" so they don't have to pay out unemployment. It is NOT any sort of constructive "improvement plan" to keep you retained.

Professional Improvement Plan. It's an excuse to fire you. By the time you get that far, they've already identified you as someone to let go. It's NOT an improvement plan, but a plan to look for reasons to fire you.

Oh PIP's are the death nail. That is the first step to fire someone and it is approved by HR. Get on a PIP and your gone in a defined time period "it's that simple". Most people who receive a PIP see that is only a matter of time and find another position. No severance for PIP "Progress in Provement".

Get a PIP, get out. It's an excuse to fire you. New owners weeding out the yes and no men.

Signing the PIP will identify you to the new owners as someone to fire/layoff. Not signing will get you fired anyway. Look for a new job, CCi sucks, the new owners have no loyalty to you.
