Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

No mention of Socle, Heald, of CA colleges in Dave Hawn's letter yesterday.

Better have your resumes out. You guys are gone. Too bad.

Socle 3rd party is done. No more on-boarding clients and we are working out ways to give them the data they need for their next service provider. All the IT Socle contractors from QA, Integration and helping VS were let go last Friday.

I love it when people respond to their own posts. No one knows for sure what will happen to California schools. Why so much delight in our uncertainty?

Socle was sold along with the colleges that ECMC took on, but they are only interested in using them to process aid for their schools and they will probably cut it back further in the future. At this point I'd say that the CA campuses and Heald aren't likely to be sold. It was a near miracle that we found a buyer at all. CCi has few tangible assets, a crummy reputation across all brands, and a patently reprehensible corporate culture. That's why we had to pay to have someone take campuses off our hands last year.
