Post here if you have any knowledge of layoffs in general. I am pretty sure we will not be the only folks with pink slips, the whole industry is shaking. In Houston real estate folks think the real estate prices will go down 10% next year, they are calculating in the potential impact of layoffs that will come soon. I think Hercules Offshore filed a WARN notice with the state, the plan is to lay off up to 400 people. DrillingInfo.com reports that the number of well permits fell 40% nationwide in November. Many will be affected, cement, metal service centers, transportation, food suppliers, business services. Millions of dollars of metal may be used on a drilling job, a couple of thousand truck trips is needed to build a well. A slowdown is coming, I do not think we should doubt it.
