How many of you working within the online division deal with people who can't even speak proper english. How many basically just grunt or mumble into the phone, and you wake up at 2pm by calling to recruit them to go to school? EDMC recruits the lowest of the low. 99.9% of the people enrolled cant write a full sentence, let alone an essay. This is a serious question. Please give feedback.

This is a business, nothing else but 100% business. In a business you try to sell e product to anybody who can pay up. EDMC does the same thing with education. By keeping low admissions requirements they can sell their product to a wider customer base. This obviously ends up including the ones who can't spell yheir names. Eventually the decent students stick and graduate and the numbnuts dropout after a few classes. EDMC makes skme money off of them in the name of giving them an 'opportunuty' in life.

In response to 53650 i give props to the kid who smelled beer for even making his way to class. Most of the people EDMC recruits dont have legit GEDs. I give props to all kids/adults who try and go to school. College is not for everyone. EDMC just tricks people with minimal education into thinking they can get an online degree to become a doctor and make millions. Keywords online, and doctor.

I agree 53650. The system is failing students in high school... All the different programs like no child left behind and the fact that schools are evaluated by standardized tests. Now kids are learning common core, dobbles, no nonsense words... Wait until these kids hit college!!!

I do remember in my undergrad (not an edmc school, a traditional state school) when I would go to class and the kid behind me would poke me almost everyday "Ahhh do I smell beer hahaha bwahaha". Oh wow, so funny!! It was completely obnoxious. I wondered how people failed some classes because the instructors would basically give you a pass trying to get a good review so they might get tenure and still people failed. I thought they were trying to fail, but some students legitimately could not pass a basic level class.
Please read a paper from a first year English class at any school other than schools that only accept 4.0 students and tell me you are not surprised by the poor writing and academic ability. If you are not surprised, you are lying.
