Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Halliburton and Baker Hughes deal means layoffs?

What are your thoughts? I am treating this separately from the layoffs driven by price drops...

Something to think about: IF you are part of a reduction in force (RIF), not only will you lose your employment, if you have a company vehicle, cell phone, computer, secure facility access, etc., all will be inaccessible to you IMMEDIATELY. If you have data on any company device that you don't want to lose - back it up NOW on a personal device (i.e. - flash drive). Then, delete any personal data from the devices, and clean up your vehicle of personal items - your one chance to this is BEFORE you are layed-off NOT after.

This is a non brainier - there is a ton of overlap in corporate, HR, finance, administrators, etc. There will be layoffs on corporate level, some layoffs in operations due to duplication, but should not be much
