All the layoffs announced by slb and bhi makes me wonder when the bit**ch slap will hit me in the face.

Boy, you guys were way off, evidently you don't know how HAL works. We will do it better and bigger than SLB!! The bitch slap is coming!!
Read the statement by the CEO the other day subsequent to quarterly earnings were released. "Comparable to our competitors...: is what he said when asked about layoffs at HAL.
So 7k at BHI and 9 K at SLR so, 6-9 K at Hal? BHI will have many more later in the year assuming the merger proceeds and also more (probably not a s many as BHI) at HAL. and that's assuming oil bounces significantly.
Its going to be really ugly in Houston this year.

Everyone says next week. HAL said it's only 1,000 positions, it'll be silent, 20 folks here, 20 folks there, I do not think you'll notice any shoes dropping here, it'll just happen. Weatherford did a very similar thing last year, thousands of folks were let go but it was a slow trickle.
