What about training jobs?
All they care about is Wall Street- Shareholders. Management will lie to your face and say people are our greatest asset. What a load of crap. They are instructed to give that message

Tomball lost over 160 employees yesterday, and it wasn't another "BJ Purge" but cuts across the spectrum. Engineering got hit hard.

They cut PP Equipment R&D by 50%, none were BJ legacy people
BTW, what's Baker's culture? Greed and Fear? I see no culture around and would not be upset if it's gone. Now let's talk HAL where I worked in the 90s. If you think Baker sucks, wait until HAL comes in and starts to show off. Arrogance, incompetence, etc.

Lawrence Chapman made a public statement today saying that Western Hemisphere Education Center will not be affected. Sheesh....
HAL is notoriously brutal when it comes to erasing different culture - Baker's culture, developed over many decades, will be wiped out by 2020. Sorry, but I've seen them operate after acquisitions before and it's not a fun thing to watch.
They shouldn't be going after BJ Legacy. We put in our time just like everyone else and didn't ask to be bought by Baker, just like current Baker employees didn't ask to be bought by Halliburton. And they wonder why mergers are never smooth when this is how they treat people who were just trying to do their jobs. But hey, as long as the CEO and shareholders profit, who cares about employees, right?

What's the total number of people let go? 200? Is there any patterns in terms of people they selected for layoffs? More senior folks? More tenure? Weaker perfomers?
We're loosing up to 30% per department. Most are done for today.
