A Halliburton integration team is coming to Rankin on Tuesday to decide if theyre keeping the facility open or not or what depts. will be moved etc. Layoffs will be done on the manf floor afterwards. After much hesitation, Tomball will permanently close their doors next month. Woodlands is still being decided. 30% workforce cuts inbound later this yr. I really don't care if you believe me or not. But ill amuse you. We get paid next week. People on water cooler were asking about MLK day, complaining about cafeteria prices, and even how morale was low. Rankin has 7 overhead cranes on the floor. No use fighting it my disposable minions. We're not done with you all just yet.

As a side note to my comment below. I would expect HAL to try and get as much money as possible out of working equipment by leaving a small support group intact for a period of time, but I'm no expert, buy I know HAL is not scared to waste money, what's another couple billion to gut a competitor.
Tomball BHI PP is done. They might repurpose the facilities, and probably won't close next month, which is good for Tomball, but bottom line HAL does not need manufacturing or engineering. The only hope is that PP or part of PP will be sold off to someone who will be given a chance to compete with working equipment and not just scrap, my opinion, this is not likely. The fact that BHI PP could even compete with HAL speaks volumes about how inefficient HAL is with the resources it has, just compare the resources of the two. The Duncan facility makes the Tomball facility look like a personal residence. Good luck to all, we had a good run.
Hal may be visiting site. I'll buy that. Tomball closing? I can total BS. Tomball is the heart of Pressure Pumping. If Tomball is closing then all of Pressure Pumping would be crippled.
I doubt BHI would do that to a PL that generates 25% of gross revenues...
What is the source of the information for Tomball closure? If you are starting a rumor, back it up. There are over 400 people in Tomball. Here say until claim is validated.
Not true, they had the WOODLANDS clean up for walk through today for HAL people. Believe it or not it is happening people.
Employees should not be cleanining a damn thing. The CEO made 28 million dollars by selling out let him clean up for Hal's visit

At first I was ashamed that they canned me. After really thinking about I'm so glad to be outta there and I feel deeply for my friends that are left behind. I'm afraid they too will all be let go and never work for Halliburton. I'm strickly talking about PP and have no clue as to the other divisions.

You may be right, but successful companies that buy other companies have a tendency to re-purpose/reuse physical assets, as that's part of what they bought. With the trend of oil/gas moving north from Houston/Greenspoint (Exxon mobile etc) coupled with the buildings and land being owned and not leased, I'd anticipate the buildings being used, but for other departments than what's currently there.
When BHI bought BJ, how many hard assets "had their doors shuttered"?
On the other hand, oil prices were twice what they are now.
BHI didn't plan on getting bought by HAL when they built the training facility. Just cause it's new doesn't mean HAL will spare it. They have a plant by beltway 8, they can say screw rankin and Tomball and let's build here. Don't be ignorant and blind people

The deal hasn't closed yet, this is true. BUT it is verified: Haliburton is sending a team to Rankin on Tue. Employees have been asked to clean areas. Not sure about the rest of this, but I know HAL is coming to see their purchase.
This claim seems absolutely ridiculous. The only truth to any of this is that there are decisions being made only after Halliburton approval. It's happening internally with the transition team.
I call BS on either PP or WHEC closing in Tomball. One is a brand new cutting edge training facility, and the other is still on the front lines of R&D, Warehouse, manufacturing and engineering. Will there be overlap with HAL? Of course, but the facilities are hard assets. Expect serious personnel moves, but the buildings and hardware?
Unless you are on the HAL planning board and are looking the DOJ in the eye on the deal, I call shenanigans.
Timing on Tomball may not be correct. There's still a lot of equipment left to deliver and BHI is contractually obligated to,do so. Future owners won't want the black eye associated with defaulting on deliveries to large oil producers.
