There was some speculation on here a couple of weeks ago about what the severance may be but I am hoping that people who have actually gotten it can tell us what it is for both hourly and salaried employees. thanks

I was non exempt and got 1 week of #SLBSEVERANCE for every years service which pissed me off for 3 reasons:
1) The HR guy tried to make out SLB were doing me a great favor by offering me this pay as it was better than they had to. Gee, thanks.
2) I was exempt before I transferred to the US, I took a pay cut as it was a job I wanted so my severance was halved. Again, how nice of them.
3) If I had stayed put where I was in the North Sea I would still have my job and if I was let go I would've walked away with about 6 months pay and gotten more than 30 f@cking minutes notice to clear the building.

This is what was stated over in that thread below: This is the short (official)answer as per guidelines. Results may vary according to various criteria, i.e. who you are. Non-exempt employees get 1 week pay for every year of service up to 13 years. Exempt employees get 2 weeks pay for every year of service up to 13 years. That's it in a nutshell. There's nothing magical about it.
