I would agree.
Everyone needs to have a good attitude. If personalities are clashing then attitudes create conflict and nothing gets resolved and the work suffers, resulting in the customers suffering, resulting in layoffs and plant closures. Its that simple.
Now with that being said, that doesn't mean your wrong if everyone accuses you of having a poor attitude. I do understand from my own experiences that you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make the horse drink, even if it means the horse will die.
There are a lot of poor people leaders because they try to be people pleasers and i don't mean pleasing their employess. I mean pleasing leadership. And poor leaders do not like wrestling lions. That leader will sit proudly on their ivory tower, pretending that the lion doesn't exist.
Here's what i have to say to the lion. Its your fault you haven't eaten that soft tender lamb yet. You need to sharpen your hunting skills. You can still be a man's man, but you need more tools in your arsenal if you want to play with the big boys. Again! There are week people leaders everywhere. They've gotten complacient and comfortable. Go get mentored by a true business warrior and play the game. You will be surprised how far you will go.
Yes Attitude, because its the only thing they can give you a poor measurement on to get rid of you. You obviously have a lot more going for you than you think!

people are saying that Navigation is the cash cow of Baker Hughes and that it will not be touched.
