Heard that the Engineering Director at Navigation has quit to go work elsewhere. I guess he knows bad tgings are about to hit Engineering Next week.

You are getting out just in time. I wish you well. As for the rest of us we will be pressured and harassed to get out as many orders as we can so they could lay us off in a shorter period of time
If he wants to leave, then leave. Whatever.
Where is he going? Will he take some engineers with him in due time? Navigation will loose some good engineers.
I can see that happening, they knew this was happening for a while and some people have hard time laying workers off - I can see some folks leaving because of this
