Rumor at KW is Monday is D-day. I have seen some signs that I can't elaborate on that show this may be true.

The mgr did not elaborate as to why my assignment was extended. We have enough people in the department to cover the slow workload. I do agree with you that they should keep employees.
Temps should be let go if you ask me. Not fair to let full time employees go and keep temps. Why was your assignment extended, do you know?
Any word on temps? My temp assignment was just extended. It doesn't make sense that they would layoff workers and keep temps? When was this meeting of key people?
I work at KW, I heard pretty much the same thing, did not know about the meeting any babe. There is a lot of anxiety. All people are frustrated. Let's see what Monday brings. Who knows? I agree there is a lot of overhead.
There was a meeting of key people after hours in a rarely used meeting room away from prying eyes. Normal rooms were open at the time as far as I could tell. It was strange and seemed to be kept quiet.
One manager confirmed to individuals in their group that Monday is the day.
So what signs did you see that make you think Monday?

I posted originally. I meant Kingwood. You heard right about overhead. The goal is/was to tighten our processes to lower overhead, but our processes are chaos.
I think it's Kingwood. Weatherford Production Optimization is located there. There was some talk about slashing resources over there back in September, not sure if that materialized. I am not the original poster and I have no insider info but I heard last year that their overhead was out of balance and that they might decide to cut over there. Not sure what happened. At the same time, this can be Kuwait too, but I have no exposure to that line of business so I cannot comment
