Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

If CHK get's bought by the company from India...

Say goodbye to the toilet paper in the restrooms! You dumb shits will be wiping your stupid asses with your hands! And those nice fitness center showers? A distant GD memory! Start washing off in the GDF creek!

64463.....expanding on that.... Dont forget the multitude of potential legal liabilities in lawsuits out there against CHK created by Aubrey/Henry in numerous states. APC bought KM with all its liabilities and had to eventually write a $5billion check to settle that. They have no desire to do that again. My prediction CHK will be the aquiring company (as predicted by the majority of analysts) not being acquired. But they must move quickly as prices seem to be going up.

64387... More than half of the AKM mess been swept up. Only a handful of VPPs remaining and those are rolling off as the days pass. The deal that put us over the top was divesting 7% of our production for $5B in cash. 7% of your production in return for 40% of your market cap is alarming to the bigger players out there looking to add value through the acquisition. Our stock is significantly undervalued and a buyout of CHK would be a good deal for both sides. I predict APC taking us over. Both companies combined would be a major player in the industry and a lot of syngergies could be achieved. We have same SOP as APC now so it would be a smooth transition.

No domestic company will touch CHK until all the mess AKM created and left behind is cleaned up. Even though things are a LOT better in 2015 - That will take YEARS.

64093 - First price shock in over a decade? What was 2008?

Who? What domestic company has sufficient resources in the current pricing environment to buy a $13 billion market cap plus premium to investors? None that I'm aware of.

64093... Buyout is on the way and it's going to be a domestic player. The India story is quite comical I must agree. You're a fool if you really believe CHK is a long term independent. It's not a question of "if" it's a questions of "when" the Carl Icahn / SE Asset Mgmt deal goes down. Carl has been mysteriously quiet lately...

Yay! Somebody brought the India topic back. And here I thought that you all were just going to give up after two weeks of this bullshit story.

Hey, I've got a story for you all. Chesapeake not only avoids laying off people during the first major price shock in over a decade, but also is able to take advantage of the situation and gobble up several assets and companies. All of this is thanks to the hard work of the company's employees and management!

... I would say that's a much more likely story at this point. But that's just me.
