Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Do you really think it is about red-blue?

Karma it's what's for dinner. Many of these people will move on and move forward when everything returns to normal. Some of these hard working people will be company representatives and consultants and Halliburton and baker will have to answer to and beg for their jobs. They obviously aren't thinking with the right head. Because you have equipment you have promised to clients and pull them off of and leave them hanging and then expect them to keep another division workin. The clients are gonna grow weary of that division and start using someone else because they don't know when they are going to be left hanging with them. It's all about NPT time during the slow down with clients. So when you leave them hangin with one division It effects the others. We always hear it "domino effect" once it starts it doesn't stop Until all the dominos are gone. And there is nothing left. So goodbye baker hughes haliburton doesn't want you they want to eliminate you. That was the plan all along. There was never any thought about red-blue. It was always about the destruction of baker hughes from the race. So all you suite wearing personal with baker hughes, it's just a matter of time before you are next! You are not safe so quit thinking you are.

This will be 3rd time out for me in 35 years, and you know what, we survived 85, 91 and we'll survive this, and I pray you all will as well.

But I sincerely hope that life continues to go around in circles and those that have given, will receive, and those that have got shafted , may they reap the rewards .

One last thing, the culprits in this are not the people who have to read out the letter, its not them, its those that decided this is the best way to treat you on the last day you are with the company.

I am sure the integration team is doing more communicating and making recommendations than they legally should be doing... Business as usual is BS. I am sure this is a great opportunity to make cuts before going to the regulator!

In their own words, only best "athletes" from Baker will survive. People are becoming just a number. GL to all.

I knew that Halliburton will take this precious opportunity to hide the "getting rid of people" smoke curtain so they can start trimming the BHI work force. What the hell are they only trimming 1,000 jobs and Baker is sacrificing 7,000. this is all BS!

Several years ago, I was laid off at a major service company, along with a bunch of others. Weeks later, the VP said in a public interview that this was actually great for the company, because the smaller size allowed the remaining people to talk with each other better, resulting in improved communication and productivity. That VP was laid off himself some time after that. He then went to court to fight this, because he found out that, at layoff time, his superiors did not given him a "golden parachute." He fought in court, at his own expense, and ultimately lost. Serves the old fart right!

You are exactly right Captain Kangaroo. You know the past few years when Baker took us over has been nothing but stress from them. I feel a big weight lifted off of me right now knowing that we will survive. But it's the suite wearers that will be in shock when it's their turn because they are blind to them being the ones effected also. "Hallelujah, I need a Tylenol!"

Karma is what's for dinner is correct. It's gonna be a funny ass day when the word gets out that the low life pricks that terminated us actually lose their job. We all know it's a dog eats dog world that you better wear your milk bones society we live in but at the end of the day it's about my family at home and my family at work that I have spent majority of my time with even more time than my home family. At the end of the day I'm going to kiss my ole lady and all my kids tell them how much I love them and how happy life is going to be at my new employee and all the good things we are going to enjoy which will be a lot better than now while going home stressed to all get out worrying about this shitty blue color. Peace out people it's time to bounce on down the road and start enjoying life again.
