Per Krishna on conference call 5,000 layoffs in Q1, 3,000 more in Q2. Total employee headcount less than 50,000 by the end of the year.

Actually number at the end of last year was just over 55,000.
Now here I thought there were about 70,000 employees left at the end of last year. 70 minus 8 does not equal 50.
8000? Problem is... BD-D will see the SLB layoff figure as a target. He won't be happy until he's put 9001 families out of a paycheck.
