The Lie is Confirmed

The self-indulgence of the L-3 leadership circle was confirmed yesterday. The lie that CSW is abstaining from layoffs to enhance the morale of its employees was also confirmed. Our CSW leaders made it clear that their sole interest is the accrual of personal materialistic wealth. The menace of their actions is entirely disheartening. Think about it. They offered us a sense of optimism ("no more layoffs") to carry on with our daily activities. By preserving the euphoric day-to-day optimism, they, in turn, gave us the appearance of a tenuous security. Ladies and gentlemen, there is no security like the one we build ourselves. We must ignore their moral pronouncements, we must elucidate their smoke screens, we must hold them accountable before none of us are left. The "Haves" are slowly laying off the "Have Nots". The weak-minded are preying on the strong. They fear our minds. They fear our skills. It is time for mass organization. We owe the warfighter better. Our quality wanes because our leadership does. Let us lead instead!

Your layoff notice is the pathway to freedom. The most talented managers have already left the company. They are showing up on LinkedIn with better titles, sunnier faces, and, no doubt, fatter wallets. The injustice you are suffering is not your fault - the reigns of management at CSW are held by inbred incompetent Electrical Engineers who know nothing about running a business. They have no industrial experience outside of L-3, they have no entrepreneurial perspective or spirit, they have shitty degrees from shitty institutions, and they lack the people skills necessary to build trust and inspire motivation. Frame that pink slip: it is the best thing to ever happen to you. L-3 is on its way to buy-out, merger, or liquidation. In every case, it will be because of incompetence, not hard work or dedication.

Just got my lay off notice. Its my understanding that there will be a 15% - 20% cut. L-3 is losing some of its best, hard-working, dedicated and experienced workers. This of course will be reflected in the customer's product. What a horrible business model. Suck the life out of the hard-working and then give them the boot. I was told that my performance had nothing to do with their decision...that it was strictly budget. No one had to tell me that because I know I worked hard and went above and beyond. I just wish they didn't sugar coat it like that. They should have said, we are horrible at managing our financial resources and are too greedy to care. That I would believe! Lesson learned.

One of my three wives told me that more PM layoffs are scheduled for April. She's the erratic first wife, so I don't know whether to believe her or not. I'm thinking about legally divorcing her so I can legally marry the third wife. Any thoughts? Yours (Still Pimpin) - Craig

Mr Fuwkes, the Company needs you to stay, you are scheduled for layoff later in the year and if you quit on your own we may not make our quota and our bonuses will be at risk. DISCLAIMER: There will be no more layoffs this year or any other year at this or any other L-3 location. People are our most important resource. Details regarding HR decisions are communicated openly and promptly with all stakeholders. It's just that you don't have a stake.

They have been lying for a while now, who would ever trust them, we are peons and grunts that they move on and off the board as they please. The only constant is an ever increasing amount of executive bonuses they share between themselves.
