I'm fairly new here, I thought training was fantastic but from day 1 on the floor much of it went out the window. I'll dial hundreds of times per day and other colleagues of mine sit and wait for warm calls and dial less than 50 times a day... Is that how to be successful here? Also how in jeopardy is the business and how can I keep my nose clean and keep my job. I have a family and really just need to have a steady job. It's frustrating feeling like there is no job security. Sorry for rambling.

How worried should you be about what? Put your resume out and get another job. If you like being a whipping boy with mandatory Tuesday and Friday meetings, working weekends, and no praise ...stay on board...The work to 8 2 nights, and every other Saturday leads to a shitty home life...the rest of the world spins in harmony and you are like an out of round tire.
All are givem instincts for a reason. Seperate fact from ficton or spin. Trust them or ignore them as you see fit. Blessings!
You will feel better if you tell people that this is not a real college! This is a vocational school only. They will get educated and maybe get a job. But that is it. They won't be going back to school in the future anywhere with these credits as they do not roll to Disney land. So if they want a BA or MA tell them to go to a state college.
There is a strategy that says that warm call transfers become students (aka "convert") at a higher rate, but that is not necessarily true. Besides, the potential students that you are actively seeking--presuming that you believe in the education that your Institute or university will provide--have the tendency to persist at a higher rate due to the connection they are making and keeping with one individual: you. What you are doing is not for everyone, for the satisfaction usually comes 2-6 years down the road when those students that you introduced to their college of choice finally walk across the graduation platform and into their new careers. If it is not for you, so be it. I find working here quite satisfying.
You will never work for a more unethical, mismanaged, steaming pile of dogshit ever again in your life.
Agreed with all below. Read the news and make your own conclusions. I would recommend getting out now, you'll be much happier.
Yes you need to be worried! These For profit colleges are pretty much about the money only, students second. So with that said most will be going out of business soon, Just google For profit College and read the stories and news . Then you will see what a scam it is. Good luck.
Keep your job search open. you need 5 quarters to collect unemployment. July 2015, will be an interesting time for EDMC when the gainful employment reg's kick in. Very stressful not knowing if you are going ot get laid off any day, due to know fault of your own. just saying....
Well if they are only dialing 50 calls a day... They are probably on their way out. The WCT aren't all that great lately to be honest so just keep your head up but the outlook here isn't so hot so don't settle in... Keep looking for a better job.
Keep it up, keep you head up, and be ethical. It will pay off, maybe not here but you will be a great person and the career will come.
