the golden era of chip design is coming to an end in US. it is becoming like car industry ...there was a time when GM,FORD,Chrysler used to be the kings on US roads and then came Honda/Toyota and now Hyundai/Kia ...the same thing is happening with chips....now it is Mediatek/Samsung and others who are doing it to the US companies.
Tech companies will still be there but the glory days are coming to an end.
It is not funny for Qualcomm employees, but it is reality. Qualcomm is clearly more interested in pleasing the investors than saving jobs. We have to be looking out for ourselves. There are too many useless projects.
