@47k Remember that if it is " busy " it's just to complete whatever contracts we have that's it! Guys we aren't going anywhere. There is NO future here. Brent isn't going to save us. Sh-t we should milk these su-kers and see if they can give us all a huge raise to make us stay. Maybe even ransack all managements office and make them listen to US. They NEED us to finish these contracts.
@3tj isn’t growth busy. so we should be busy soon Right?
Please tell me who's hiring. This place is a ghost town I think I'm ready to leave.
Oh goodies golly…. If I pass gas in the growth department build room it smell bad... Ungh… oh… don’t look away… dont look away… the graphite throne calls me name… I cannot hold it in any longer. The gas exchange must continue. Hello methane. My bowels are cleared of gas… You have treated me so well.
@wb .
Well me relaxing and hoping for a smooth ride is over. Now we have to hop on different machines and do multiple things. I hate being moved from my station. On top of that they give my station to someone who isn't even consistent and comes in late most of the time.He's One of the slowest workers I've ever seen. Just CLOSE THE DOORS already!!. Give me my damn severance!!
@19z ah yes the classic build 2 manufacturing sites and 500 furnaces + lie to your investors/the government knowing you are really only working as an R&D facility to prove out something you could with several furnaces and you have every intention to close in less then a decade. 🤡
You know the person who wrote this probably isn't someone with true knowledge of the closure given what they said logically just isn't reasonable.
Yes, it's clear to see a situation where it's true.
No, it's not likely the person who wrote it has any knowledge of the situation outside this forum and speculation.
It is hard to imagine people like Brent or Sean actually coming on this forum to be a hero. Those are probably some of the only people who would truly know if they intended to close.
@1j7 I agree, it's the reality but I think those who are here are comfortable. They call out knowing there is no consequences, they come in late, work slow and take their time on breaks. I say ride it till it crumbles. Be happy you have a job.
@1j0 if indeed this is someone in a position to know, he/she cannot send an email. This is the nature of the game. Don't tell the peons because you still need them to work. Surprise them at the very last minute when you don't need them any longer. Dont get mad at this, take the info into consideration and plan accordingly. Be grateful you have a heads up.
@19z and who are you to tell us anything? You talk a big talk but own it. Right now, you're a coward blowing smoke. Are you wrong? We'll see. But don't hide behind a screen. Send an email. We'll see how direct, clear and certain you are.
I want to be direct and clear.
The Hudson site will close after July.
This site was used to stabilize and perfect the 200mm wafer process.
That work is now complete.
The building costs too much to operate long term and It does not make sense to keep it running.
All 150mm operations will also move to another location. There is no incentive for employees to remain at Hudson.
No long term roles will exist here after the transition. I strongly urge everyone to plan an exit as soon as possible.
Start looking for your next move now.
I know this is hard news and I respect the work done here, please protect your future Brent isn't going to tell you up front what is going on but I will.
@y4 listen just do your job. None of us are happy here but we need the job for now. I heard great things when I first came here. This site made a lot of empty promises. Get what you need to get out of this place and leave.
Hope you guys enjoyed the town hall meeting today. No reason to stay any longer. Sean K wants us to take the initiative to do more with less. Well, good luck rushing me. I'm taking my time with everything I do. I'm living the life for the next 6 months here. I'm getting my severance without doing much and I LOVE it. Hey Scott good luck rushing me as well, I was supposed to get fired multiple times and I still stand. You got to love it!!! Brent can su-k it too. I'm using these su-kers.
@wb drama queens*
The Drama Queen remains, makes another cut, squeaky wheel gets the oil.
Hudson workers, as we discussed in our last meeting, yes I lied but that shouldn't matter at this point, sometimes great leaders lie. Let's work hard quietly and fulfill our obligations with the rest of this contract. Let's finish strong guys remember this and be grateful that you all have jobs.
@ew was that around the same time people would get socked in the face for running their mouth and it was socially acceptable?
@et it shouldn't matter who I am. You don't like it, you can leave. I've had enough of you guys always having something to say. In my times we would stay shut and do what we were told. From now on just do your job and let us do ours in peace, thank you.
@bs What kind of id--t as--ults his remaining employee? Some of us worked extremely hard for fu--ing nothing, and you have zero clue how many important people were let go. Now what remains has to pick up the pieces for sh---y pay in a job that we can't even trust to help us out.
@bs this cant be Brent, can it?
We know what we are doing. We are protecting you ungrateful id--ts. Be happy for those who have a job. We saved you. Now shut up and move on. You don't like the way we do things, then leave our site. My door is always open.
Even better when management hides upstairs all day, completely clueless about the floor. Materials not moving? Unnoticed. Accountability? Optional. Somehow they still have jobs. Impressive.
I’ll be relaxing and collecting my check — who’s hosting the unofficial breakroom Olympics?
