T received billions in CAF 1&2 phases. More fleecing of the tax dollars as it certainly wasn’t regulated well!! Thus, why we have dedicated non-utilized CAF ports in the middle of large cities where 100M service is the norm….SMH

I bet he is using zero unionized labor and that’s how he builds it more economically.

AT&T got a lot of government money to build out the fiber network. What AT&T did was the MDU project (multi dwelling unit) to satisfy the governments requirement to connect so many addresses with fiber. AT&T connected so, so many low income apartment housing projects with fiber with the knowledge that they would never actually be required to serve those addresses and those customers would never be able to pay for any kind of broadband. Genius and slimy, as always. That's AT&T.

You don’t think att get federal money it’s in the hundreds of million I’m sure to provide internet to underserved communities the problem is att likes big cities and the people who are supposedly underserved it’s in planning and att it takes 10 times as long to get something done this is not bellsouth anymore att sucks at all they touch its really pathetic too much time worrying about behaviors I’m sure that guy did it with less money than att could have companies like conexeon are eating att lunch in Rual areas that actually pay they will be losing high cost dsl in those areas and will hit bottom line don’t believe the hype it costs too much to serve copper it really cost to much to buy direct tv and T-Mobile break up and cnn and hbo and all the other loser ideas they had problem is att has deep pockets but share price explains it all
