Attrition is good for employees. When the market is hot and staff are jumping ship for better jobs, salaries rise. If attrition gets up to 10% per year or so Chevron will boost salaries quite a bit or bring back the perto tech bonus. That was sweet!
With all due respect to the author of this post, I think this is a very wrong thinking. First, I think that attrition is something that those at the top finally have to start problematizing, and second, I believe there will be no increase in salary.
