I am hearing chatter that a big layoff is going to happen tomorrow, Monday, Sept 22, mainly for L2s, some L3s in Network. Please let us know under which VP and AVP this is happening.

@OP L2-L3 will be fused as will L3-L4. Damaged discs to be removed. Should help stability.
So what exactly is "using excessive care giver days"? You can only use what they have given you. It is an entitlement offered by the company, they just covered this on a benefits call last week along with tons of other benefits they offer us, and want us to use.
Good luck trying to use care giver to justify laying someone off when it is an earned benefit and offered by the company. If they didn't want you use the full amount of CG days, then they would give less days. It's a company policy...
In our group we were told it will only impact the ones who used excessive caregiver days and the managers that were letting it slide under the radar .
