All indications are pointing to a 2nd and 3rd round of layoffs happening next year. When it’s all said and done Verizon is looking to shave off 30% of its workforce. Blood bath coming. Insane! My manager basically told us in our recent meeting to keep our resumes updated and start applying and if right offer comes to take it.

Close to a VP. Rumors are accurate about Q1. Not sure the amount but definitely hearing 10k plus. Last wave was really about Frontier and the 12k employees that are being absorbed. This next wave will is to get net negative. Then potentially right sizing there after. Dan said this will be a difficult transition the next year. Rumors are that teams at the AVP and VP level are asked to submit names based on performance and value. If you are remote and worried, better see if you can get to an office. If you are not RTOing and worried, start RTO, those are things you can control. Otherwise, good luck. This isn't an RTO post, it is about if you are worried and need the job as we have bills and families, don't give them that inch.

There were several posts earlier in this sub that said the total headcount laid off would be around 29,000. The hatchet man is absolutely getting the company and it’s a blood bath for sure
I dont think you know what the word confirmed means. "all indications are pointing" and "basically told us" means you know nothing.
And mangers don't know what's happening next, because I am one and we don't know. Will it happen, probably. Confirmed? Nope.
