If the Gainwell products are terrible, then product owners need to go. And, yes, product owner managers are usually less knowledgeable and talented than the product owners....that applies to company's with good products or bad products.

@OP I heard they got rid of the product owner roles because the product decisions will be made at the executive level now. Scary because those people don't know the solution as well as the POs.

@OP I was thinking if they manage to sell the company, most of the managers would probably be yeeted. Why on Earth would they want to bring on board the same mgrs. who ran the company into the ground? It’s truly a very mismanaged company. I’ve never heard of a company getting rid of the people who do the work and keeping all the managers and then hiring even more. That’s peak mismanagement right there.
