Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Laid off employees dont stay customers….

Hey Leadership!!

Check it out… laid off employees typically want nothing to do with the company that laid them off after they leave.

Guess what else? When their families and friends hear about it, they often don't want anything to do with that company either!!

What a concept! I know if I leave. I am taking my many, many lines and going straight to TMO.

Word of mouth is coming back to haunt these id--ts. Investors take note!

Almost all retiree's leave too... it's nothing new. And they don't care.
VZ offer's SAMS Club "employee's" a better discount then the give their own retiree's.
Depends of age and usage, where retiree's go... the T-Mobile 55+ plans pick up many.
I went to Visible (VZ-lite) in a plan that's now considered a legacy plan. taxes are included & still a lot less than the 25% "partial" discount that VZ gave retirees... and works fine... I don't stream 4k on video's on my phone... that's pointless. Hot-spot works to stream HDR to the TV in the camper,,, so I'm fine with it.

RIF’d 9 years ago, and the only reason I’m still a customer is because there’s no other decent option for cellular or internet where I live and Con Cast can keep their corporate fe--s away from my home.

If anyone other than Verizon had passable service I’d jump in a minute.

@a9 trust that when my employee discount ends next year, I will be happily walking into a Tmobile store!

@a9 Go to Costco and do the switch. You get some sweet Costco bucks as well as saving a ton of money

When the employee discount ends, transfer your lines to TMO and let them know you’d like a family and friends discount. They should be able to provide a solution that will be even less than VZ with employee discount.

I would do the same as well. But the executives honestly don’t care if laid off employees take their service elsewhere. Like mentioned below laid off TMo and AT&T employees will join Verizon and guess what, those count as new adds.

I recall hearing the one in November they offered extended EPP for multiple months with that in mind. That was 13000 employees, and let’s say only 80% actually were on the program. That’s still 10,400 accounts that are going to leave, with probably 5-8 lines each. That’s going to be quite the drop in line count, plus as you say the word of mouth to family, that’s a lot of people who will never be customers for life.

@OP

100% in agreement with you. Lay me off and I will tell everyone everything negative about the service and actively go out of my way to get people to leave your service! After I am gone. Verizon can go all the way down to bankruptcy.
