AT&T recorded 367,000 fiber net additions and 279,000 fixed wireless net additions. Fiber connections rose 22.8% year over year to 12.87 million, while fixed wireless connections climbed 77.4% to 2.61 million. Thank you JS and RTO!!!

Note to self: OP doesn't understand how Wall Street works. They saw, they read, they sold.
Good thing I was a top performer in ACE and helped build those fiber networks and then got surplussed with 29 years. I hope the companies dies a long, slow painful demise. F ‘em
@de - you all are vindictively not too intelligent. Same could be said about any CEO really.
@ae the Iran war and domestic US telecom have zero correlation. Same goes for RTO.
@bw we want the worst for John for all the pain he’s caused. If you really think the next guy will change anything then I have a surprise for you!
So the logic is to hope for AT&T financial failure so we get rid of JS (and likely even more employees) vs hoping for increased success so when the next CEO comes in, they can improve upon it including all of the BS that’s occurring.
Doesn’t make much sense to me.
Let’s report on other products and lines of the business and we’ll see those +++++ signs disappear. Wasn’t sure he’d show up today. Been incognito for weeks.
@ba everyone wants stink gone and an end to RTO. Back to the way it used to be before Covid. Then nobody would feel this way and everyone be working towards the same goal. When the CEO says things like Loyalty is dead and your opinion doesn’t matter, it tends to lead to disengagement and frustration.
@ar - I know that most posters do not like working here at AT&T (although this forum does not necessarily reflect non-forum workers attitude).
But my questions was why root against the company’s financial success? Folks aren’t just predicting poor performance they are cheering for it. That is just mo--nic. It’s like hoping your household budget can’t cover one’s costs.
@ak You forgot to thank the Orange man
@ah Four more surplus dates in 2026
Dying ground based tech
@a8 and yet your still here
@am stupid to sell internet and wireless services to allow businesses and humans to connect and work from anywhere - but we don’t do it ourselves. What kind of marketing signal are we trying to give? No wonder it’s not growing faster!!!
@aq Yes. I don't know where you have been for the last 3 years, but this describes probably 80-90% of the current employees at AT&T. Policies have consequences. If "Big John" laid off everyone that felt this way, he could have company-wide meetings in a Dennys.
@ac - huh??? So it you’re rooting against AT&T out of revenge even though you work here?
@a8 - just out of curiosity, which one are you (since you still post here).
Interesting how fiber growth somehow became proof that RTO works. Did the fiber cables know everyone was back in the office? The same employees delivering these results were productive before the badge swipe obsession. Credit the people doing the work, not the policy.
So glad to be working for AT&T. Big John's strategy is working. We are on target to get another great bonus next year. Haters gonna hate. Thank you Big John for your leadership, focus on fiber and wireless and building a culture of work in hub cities of Atlanta and Dallas. WE ARE ON TARGET.
Lol fixed wireless climbed because we started cutting people's legacy service off. We claim those as sales growth because ethics matter at AT&T.
Just heard more layoffs in two weeks.
RTO was driving the stock price up until the Iran war.
All of you gloating over the 2% increase in stock price today, just keep in mind that the stock is still 33% lower than it was 15 years ago and pays out only 70% of the dividend. The stock has grown $1.50 since Stank became CEO and dividend has gone down. Certainly nothing to crow about.
@a4 "why do so many actually root against them"
It is called culture. Who created the culture? The big Stank.
@a5 , BINGO!
When the stock craters 10% next week I don’t want to hear anyone say RTO and the stock price have no correlation. @OP just said it right here, and I will be sure to remind you.
Your happy with leadership that has stock down 16.5% over past year and down about 8% for the year?
@a4 this forum is dead. Everyone has moved to Reddit and Blind. The only people who still post here are just trolls from the Verizon and T-Mobile board along with a few 70 year old Union goofs who think they’re gonna get paid 104 weeks to leave.
The stock is still 25% off the 2026 high and RTO is directly to blame for the utter failure this company is. No other company does 5X RTO for a reason…
This earnings report is nothing more than damage control and stink loading up his golden parachute for his grand exit at the expense of the future state of the company in 2027/2028.
I thought we decided that RTO doesn’t impact the stock price you fuxing m0ron
Cook the books.
Assuming most folks on this forum work for AT&T, why do so many actually root against them?
You’d prefer even more layoffs?
@a1 oh yay, what an achievement. Definitely work at T.
@OP Just wait until t-mobile reports their earnings and then watch our stock slide, slide, slippidy-slide....
enjoy your daily commute brutha!
