People leader just got an e-mail saying notifications will come out in waves throughout the day

I had a meeting with a VP and a manager around mid July trying to tell me they saw I applied to the vsp. They told me I was valued and they were trying to convince me my job was safe and I could recind my application before the end of the business day if I wanted. So management is aware of who applied. Maybe not my direct manager but farther up the chain of command. I'm still leaving either way. There is more to life than working ourselves to death and barely recovering on the weekends.
i am a PL and have not been given amy information about who applied. I only know who told me they had applied. And I dont know who was approved. Received communication that PL will be told Friday who was approved but associates will be encouraged to tell their PL when they get notified. Maybe some health plans have senior leaders leaking info. Not saying which one I am in, but my plan certainly has not.
@a8 This seems to vary across teams. In my case, my PL told me in my 7/14 1x1 that he heard the news, that I had applied for the VSP. My PL knew because his PL told him in order to confirm whether I could be cut or not. Thankfully he said he didn't do anything to block it, so I'm expectant that my app will be approved. I just really hope I don't get a later separation date.
@aa you are another id--t. Being liked on an anyomous forum is stupid to say. I could care less about being 'liked'. Are you for real? Im not prerending to be a PL. You must be afraid of being on hold waiting too long waiting for your doomsday. Good luck pi----g your pants waiting to get layed off!
@a9 PL are not informed when the employee is. Wasnt that what you all are claiming. Its not a theory,its a fact. Whats wrong PL you out the loop su-ks doesnt it.

@a6 Great conspiracy theory, I am a PL and have no idea who on my team took it. One person told me they did and was upfront, I have gotten no notification on this person.
PL won’t be notified of who was approved from their team and separation dates until 7/31.
@a1 you are a people leader who knows a lot more than the employees are being told. Stop replying on this site, you were responsible of identifying who you can live without on your team. You want to be 'liked', get the F outta here. All you people leaders are hiding yet trying to act like you are in the dark with the herd. POS!!
Do you really believe management wouldnt know before the herded employees. Be serious and not gullible. Use your common sense, ofcourse leaders and managers know, theyre are sworn to secrecy and probably signed something. How else would they know where to strategically organize and reshape their depts. You have been drinking the Koolaid believing your manager or director is honest. Stop!

Can confirm this is accurate. Came at 10am CST.
I just got out of a team huddle and they said we the applicants would be notified before management. They also mentioned that our end date can be different than our peers so they don't have a mass exodus all at once.
@OP Also People Leaders will not get notified if a member of their team got approved until 7/31.
