JW personally delivering rifs to tech sales today. Seriously she should be the one to go as she has never shown any leadership qualities. Meanwhile the brown nosers keep their jobs under her

@a2 And you know this how? Of course you don’t know. You’re a loser in a company that celebrates that so you should be fine.

@ag does it ever stop.

Even if it stops for today, what hope isnin tomorrow?

@ae Very well said. Teradata has pushed out and run out a lot of extremely talented and dedicated individuals. We have known there were cost cutting measures for years. However, the actions over the past several are out of poor desperation.

Any executive coming to this company is desperate for a job, leading you to question their abilities. Case in point - look at what we have now.

Some are just banking what they can until they are pushed out. Maybe the board has no one else who can replace them.

Cheap labor and warm bodies will not turn this company around. The life preserver has a hole and is leaking down to near nothingness.

Best of luck and success to those who got out.

I took the VSP and left a couple of months ago. From what I heard, around 300–400 employees accepted the package, many of whom were highly experienced since eligibility required employees to be at least 55 years old with 10+ years of service.

What surprised me is that a RIF followed so soon after the VSP. Historically, budget planning was usually done around August/September, with any major workforce reductions occurring in October or November. The timing of this week's RIF feels unusual.

It's also sad to see what was once one of the most promising technology companies in the industry facing these challenges. A significant number of talented engineers, architects, and technical experts left through the VSP, resulting in a substantial loss of institutional knowledge and experience.

Recovering from that kind of knowledge drain will not be easy. In my view, meaningful recovery will require more than cost-cutting measures—it will require clear strategic direction and some fundamental changes, starting from the top.

@a2 Does that mean SM and Sandeep Kumar are gone?

Just a few low performers, think less than 30.
