Most over 50 and most weren’t ready to go (or volunteered). So the trend to shrink the workforce in that demographic is alive and well.

the way it works now is the surplus is announced about 2 weeks before the end of the month, with the impacted employees last day on payroll the 1st of the following month, insurance stays active from the 1st to the end of that month.
