Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stock price decline versus layoffs

AT&T's stock price has decreased more than 29% in the past year. Will this force more layoffs? How can investors not know how badly managed AT&T is?

Too funny. Wasn't expecting this.

Ankle grabbing foreigners. Willing to do or say anything for a few bucks. It’s a fools game selling your workforce to people whose values will never align with American. Just because you can do it Stink doesn’t make it right! Thanks for all the shareholder value creation di-khead!

IMHO, if you layoff US workers, you should lose your H1B allotments for the next 3 years. You don’t hire a bunch of H1Bs, then layoff US workers or then ask to hire more H1Bs right after that. Sorry, not sorry. That isn’t racist, that’s just how it needs to work. You should also get taxed on your offshored jobs at a minimum of 50% and not be able to write off external contract workers for 2 years if you layoff your employees and replace them with an h1b or contract/outsourced/off shored company.

@a9 Nah, this is all Stank's fault. India/H1Bs are just a joyful pawn in Stank's game.

Bottom line, the company loses face in the eyes of the public, and the Brand is further tarnished. Who is responsible? This one cannot be blamed on some tier 1 employee struggling to make a web page work, or a Craft tech wiping boogers on their rear view mirror while sitting at a traffic light.

When the going gets tough, blame India.

It's a zero sum game with the push for cheap H1B's and the investors see that. Layoffs will continue and the Indians they pushed into management roles will only hire their kind so the long term future of T will continue to trend down. we should be near 18 soon based on future outlook in talent. Those fake certificates don't build the future, and we can't retain clients with that kind of fake talent. We laid off all the real talent.
