Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Layoffs Are a Reminder, Not the End

Face it, guys.

Layoffs are imminent. Even if your job is safe today, there's always a chance you could be affected in the next round.

Don't waste your energy stressing about what you can't control. If you have the opportunity to find a better job, take it. If not, keep preparing.

Fear won't help you. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep leveling up. If you're good at what you do, there will always be opportunities.

And before anyone asks—I'm doing the same. Whether I survive the layoffs or get laid off, I'm already preparing for the next opportunity.

OP, keep your silly and painfully self-evident advice to yourself, Cap'n Obvious.

Layoffs are a reminder that it’s the end of your employment.

@aa As if this decision was up to customer service reps! Customer service went WFH during Covid and never returned.

Customer service representatives need to be cut. The minute they all jumped on the wfh angle there importance to the company sank to n all time low. Now there just as important as AI, and overseas reps.

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes again
