That’s the d-mbest response I’ve heard. If it takes 6 weeks on universal then it would take the same on private. The way they get paid doesn’t impact their speed, that’s because of their infrastructure.
In fact, in America, there is only about 8% of the population uninsured. So the extra people getting healthcare in general would be insignificant. We’re already paying for 140+ Million Americans to have healthcare, why not the rest of us?
Plus it would actually speed up your wait times because you don’t have large private healthcare companies telling you what’s in-network and not, everywhere would be forced to take universal healthcare. So you don’t have Regence telling 30+% of a city you have to go to this provider.
And the impact on the economy is pretty drastic with how much money people save long term. Then you have the amount of people willing to leave jobs without fear, plus companies can’t use it as a bargaining chip, so they have to find other benefits such as increased vacation, pay, etc. to compete..
Obamacare was NOT universal healthcare. It was healthcare subsidies AND it still helps SO MANY people every year save money on healthcare because Americans pay the HIGHEST prescription and healthcare costs in the WORLD!
I think you should do more research.
