Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Current round of layoffs

Getting laid off doesn't feel like a neutral “business decision”, it's a gutless move against the people who actually kept the work in healthcare technology running while others coasted and still kept their badges. I spent years cleaning up messes. Now somehow I’m the one pushed out. It’s sickening to watch a company in the health space reward bare‑minimum effort, ignore the impact on real people and communities, and then speak in corporate jargon about “efficiency” and “alignment” as if no one can see through the lies. The worst part is knowing I was singled out not because I failed, but because I refused to be lazy, refused to cut corners, and that commitment to some level of standards made others uncomfortable! What a joke, too bad it's not funny at all.

@c2 I was laid off September 2025 after working for Gainwell for 8 years. It was hard at first, but trust me when I tell you things will get better. My advice to anyone still there thinking about leaving. DO IT! Find something before they let you go and never get comfortable with them.

Efficiency and alignment are real things. Perhaps it was a personality situation?

the company has changed so much over the last couple of years, that it feels like a completely different place.

Today's Gainwell seems to be rewarding, now more than ever, the wrong behaviors.

I wish you the very best.

@am Your sarcasm is not welcome. Show a little empathy. There are still people here at Gainwell who pour their heart and souls into their work because they were raised with great work ethic, pride of ownership and morals. It's a gut punch to be pushed aside because you advise best practices, lessons learned, etc.

Getting away from Gainwell is one of the best things that can happen to a person regardless of how it happens.
