Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

POETS day

Clocking off at 3pm Fridays is a good thing for employees. The email says flexible working which implies that we are expected to have worked 40hrs by 3pm, which is fine, but it is not clear, especially as hourly staff get a paid day off in lieu.
If we are allowed to clock off at 3pm regardless, that’s a mess, if someone starts work at 8am and a colleague starts at 10am do they both still finish at 3, can we change the day if workloads prevent an early Friday finish?

@b9 Exactly and NO, from personal experience very much not.

@c8 they seem to have odd ideas about legal liability. The recollection is that call recordings, meaning meetings, were banned beginning with the meetings announcing layoffs. THOSE they didn't want recorded. Any meeting that includes worthless information can be recorded, anything that might be used in an employment case? Nope, never, not at all.

@OP it's just another wonderful example of half-baked ideas being poorly communicated by the "leaders". Like the time they bleated on about how AI was the future then banned basic call recordings without any explanation.
