RTO is pointless at WF. At some other company? Maybe, maybe not. But at Wells, it's nonsensical, and we all know it.
Remember:
- Never get gas near the office. Always get gas near home.
- Never buy food or coffee in or near the office, including vending machines. Bring what you need from home.
- Never spend any extra time in the office. Have hard start and stop times on your in-office days. Decline any meetings outside your basic office hours. Reply as tentative for meetings that overlap your office hours, and let the organizer know you can only stay for the first half, etc.
- Always save your most productive days for your WFH days. Your in-office time should show the most idle time. After all, we were told collaboration and chit-chat is why we're all forced back in. Can't be productive while having small talk.
- (others?)
The path to defeating pointless RTO isn't an instant win. It will be a slow roast. The current execs are almost done with their time here because they gotta move on before they are held responsible for some bad action. RTO/WFH is a waiting game, and one that's worth playing.
