Is anyone on that call? How is Andre going to lead a marketing department when he has no energy and seemingly no experience in marketing.
Also seems like Katz was pushed out.

@by You are really not getting the game these guys are playing. They are here to play a part while they do what Deutsch Telekom tells them to do. Srini and Andre are doing it now - not very effectively. Those d-mbfu-ks Mike and Mike did it before them, and Jon Legere did it before them. They are highly paid actors. And it continues to work because id--ts like you loo it up because you want to believe you are working for a great company that is changing the world.
After 28 years of his life with this company, Katz spontaneously decided on his own accord that it was time for him to pursue other opportunities.
Let’s be clear. There was only one Mike who was an energetic storyteller.
This is such a cultural shift. The Mikes were energetic story tellers and probably not the best operators. Now we get these operator types like srini and Andre who seems to have zero charisma. Still unclear if they are even good operators. Was so evident watching Andre follow Katz today.
It’s unreal how short-lived some of our leadership and strategy bets are.
We brought in Andre saying he’d be the guy to lead Emerging Businesses, then 10 months later it’s, “Actually, he’s a consumer guy and should run Consumer Marketing.”
And then there’s Financial Services. The CEO announces it’s one of our biggest emerging business bets, and a few weeks later it’s no longer part of Emerging Businesses.
It’s hard to know which strategy bets are actually long-term and which ones will be reversed a few months later.
Any time an executive leaves and the reason is given as "to spend more time with family" or "pursue other opportunities", I just assume they were forced out.
Meeting was great. Very informational and inspiring. I’m all in.
absolutely pushed out. He has a 5 year employment contract. Read it. U dont quit with that contract.
He isn’t here to lead a marketing team. He’s here to enrich himself and merge the company with Deutsch Telekom. Stop giving these people any benefit of the doubt.
Glad I left. Never been happier.
I heard Katz refused to learn German so he was fired for cause.
It was akin to watching paint dry. I do not understand this move with zero experience. MIX is about to get butchered yet again.
