Frontier takeover is imminent. Karen Bartleby mentioned it in her slide deck on Tuesday. VzT to offload operations to the tune of 4.2K 3Q.
@hd There is no overlap in Frontier and VZ fiber footprint. The only way someone gets asked to move to a Frontier central office is when they fire the Frontier people there. Which I think would be stupid to fire and force someone to move there to backfill.
@h5 you’re going to know the office well when you get forced to move to it.
@h1 Which frontier office? There are only CO's. CO's will have techs and field teams. The one in Dallas lease expired. I don't know of any other "Frontier" offices.

Jeff Searins said on his weekly call we have cuts coming in the 5000 arena and that we will be hiring in Frontier offices . Moving operations to Frontier from legacy VZ is the way forward.
@d0 Nope.... they will simply present to the new leadership. Reductions won't be put on hold for interns.
Very unlikely numers that high at least no all at once. I can see somthing this coming week but not at that level. Smaller hits going forward till.end of year like what has been happening so not to draw attention to VZ.

This is bs. The interns present their final projects in August to directors and above. Layoffs won’t be until Atleast end of August or early September

@a8 this is what was posted here by someone else a while back after the nov fiasco. Makes sense from a point of organization process. We are under a heavy structural constant change that could take up to 2 years for all to be set and done....slow is fast

Yes, it will be staggered. Too much at once, does not bode well. In all, in the time of the Don Dan tenure, the target is to be 45-50k empl. left - in total. Probably they may try to sell it after when it would look "cheap" and profitable. Who knows really - but, they won't stop. Is the new fad for C suite.
Didn’t want to post this, because I’m very low ranked in the company, but I have proximity to a number of people who are higher than SD. So I hear things. I overhead a conversation today that it is 7/16 but that’s just the start of a domino of biweekly or monthly layoffs for the foreseeable future. Will likely be smaller in scale than we all expect, but all of them combined in the coming months could exceed the November numbers.
Please don’t attack me, just sharing what I heard.
