Any truth to that?

I don't live in either place either. The point is, hubs are made to be closed.
@cj if Dallas is gaining from Portland then blame your liberal politicians. It’s so much easier and cheaper in TX

@dx Those are incoming. They block outgoing.
@en I lost external email a year before layoff. My understanding is whole group lost it then.
Why do people think it’s October resulting in 401K match payout eligibility when it will be Tuesday after next???? You know these sc-m bags want to avoid 401K match date of 12/15
a lot of people are loosing external email access, but it's more to do with info security than being laid off. unless you have a business reason to send externally, which many don't, you will loose access. from my small sample size, those who are offered relo or on a working notice lose external email and ability to print.
@dh my external email has been blocked pretty much since we were told they would be exiting my state over 1.5 years ago. This means nothing as to when it will happen.
@dh If you're added to an AD group that blocks external emails, how would you get the phishing campaign emails from Wells Fargo?
Just check if you’ve been added to an AD group to block external emails.
10/14 avoids company paying 401k match but is a holiday week so could potentially be lighter based on HR staffing.
10/28 would be a "thank you" with 401k match but avoids allowing anyone who started in January to get another 2 weeks severance.
11/11 for me personally would be almost perfect (401k match plus extra year of service).
It's sad. People should remember that there was a time where the Portland hub had more employees than the new Dallas hub does now. It was a major part of the company. Now the last remnant is going away. People at the current hubs should keep this in mind. It doesn't really matter where you are located, they are coming for us all. Today's hub is tomorrow's empty building.
They told us last year our site would close before the end of 2025. So, that timing fits.
The list is prepped at least a year out in order of priority or who is at the top of that list with alternate or substitute names in the event they are asked to layoff more than originally anticipated
I don't know about specific dates, but there are lists coming out. I really hope my name is on the list to be displaced this Tuesday after payday, September 16th. It's weird to me though how they let go of managers first. I'm not a manager, so my name probably isn't on the most recent displacement list.
10/14 is a holiday week, I doubt layoffs will happen that day.
It’s October 14th so they can avoid paying the 401k match. Sometimes sacrifices must be made because Charlie needs it more than you do
What other cities?
Yes, they're displacing all Oregon employees in October. 500 or so of us.
They've made a list and checked it twice and it doesn't matter if you've been naughty or nice.
If they are laying off then yes they would already know who is on the list so you may as well relax because you can’t change the course of history
