I’m curious how many want VR over how many are in bad locations / have no choice or dare I say it happy.

I left, got accepted after 2nd application. Got 2 years pay due to legacy T&C's. Happy days. Took me 3 milliseconds to accept the offer! I can't knock dxc as they honoured my t&c's and gave me the biggest pay check of my life.
@d3 I’m 13 months gone too, I’d mentored to my boss a few years ago that I’d be willing to go as my VR payout wouldn’t have got any better.
He went the same day as I did.
Can’t imagine working for DXC, I’d have been off to BT if I’d have stayed.
Good luck people, hope you get what you want.
Hard to believe it’s been 13 months since I left DXC. I checked in here out of curiosity and it’s clear things have only deteriorated further.
For 18 months I emailed the WFR mailbox every couple of months after repeated refusals. Eventually my application was accepted and I walked away with 12 months’ pay. At 62, with savings, pensions and investments in place, it was an easy decision — I was genuinely losing the will to carry on dealing with the so‑called ‘management’ and the absurd processes pushed down from above.
I know I was fortunate to be in a position to retire early, but for the younger people still there, I’d strongly suggest looking outside DXC for any real career progression. The company simply isn’t going anywhere.
Give a decent package (exec level) and I’d take meanwhile i’ll keep picking up my pay checks .
@ca The lesson is clear. You need to have a backup plan and ensure you're resilience. I've achieved that by going without what some might see as essentials, and through luck and circumstances as well. I could quit, but I'm not going to - pay me to go and I'll leave as soon as they like. But whilst the game it trying to bore us out of working here. I'm not bored. I found other things to do!
Get a good lawyer and do a settlement instead - much better. Know someone who negotiated 15 months package plus all the other expenses paid. Happy days.
I quit last year. I'm still being paid, but mentally I just checked out. The work dried up, but nobody seemed to be able to see it and just close the thing down. I'm not employed an hour or two a week to checking and confirm no much has changed since last time.
As much as I'd love to see the back of this place, I'm not in a position where just quitting is possible.
If I left dxc it would have to be for another IT job and despite trying hard to find something else for some time, it's not happened yet. I have a particular set of skills and also a very picky list of industries I want to work in, plus not wanting to be in an office on a regular basis.
Obviously if I was to find something else then I'd not say no to a VR payoff.
But no, taking a small in the grand scheme of things handful of cash and being unemployed is not an option.
Refused, haven't done much billable work since. Total madness. I guess the fact nobody has valid WBS codes masks the problem.
Me. Refused. Well their choice.
