I’ve got a feeling that as AI invoked layoffs pick up, we will see a rise in white collar unions. Anyone here open to starting a trend here?

@vn Comment OP. Thank you. You got it right. The best part is seeing how many others don’t like words. Hysterical. And we work with them.
For everyone else, antithetical is a seventh grade word. Jfc.
@er Your unsmart hurts. They likely meant that tech jobs aren’t union because talent has made bank for decades. Why make tech talent the same when there still lots on the table. The same is true for any position that isn’t already automated. Can front line call center possibly be AIed? Sure, but as they said, automation has failed forever.
Good idea. Start talking about unions to incent companies like Schwab to expedite the transition to humanless labor.
Future is very simple money moves for production where labor cheap. History stand witness if this slavery to ai and going forward . Cheap + bonded labor norm you give fancy name to this but ground reality remains the same
@en What kind of fascist comment is that? "Antithetical to financial services and technology": what a stupid comment.
Not a chance. Unions are antithetical to financial services and technology. And after 20 plus years of trying to automate front line call center and retail functions does anyone believe the solution that costs much more will be the winner?
Do not sit and wait! Vote with your feet, and move to another, more employee friendly company!
