Rehire after CPM

Hello,

Could anyone going through the rehire process after last year CPM share their experience? Did you have to fill out the background check information before the offer or after the offer?
At what point in the process did HR communicate about severance repayment?

I am waiting for decision after interview and would like to know other experiences to preapre.

If out for more than an year, you don't have any anything. Less than a year it's pro-rated to the time you were out. Don't know the numbers.

@OP Forgot to mention they will take your Quarterly and/or Annually Bonus as part of the "pay back" to Intel.

@OP Background checks will start after you accepted the over. Background check will usually take around 7days or more, but since you are former Intel employee it may take less time.

If HR finds you were CPM'd last year, depending how long you were gone, they will call you and state you will have to give back part of the severance package back. They will go over the percentage base on time you've been away and give you $$ amount that you have to "give back" to Intel. They will tell you how much you will payback over how many months. They amount "pay back" to Intel can be up-to 1/3rd of your income After-Tax, so be prepared to live within a certain budget depending on your expenditures.

Hope this helps.

@a5 I’ve only had great experiences. No other employer will pay me anywhere CLOSE to what Intel pays with my experience and degree. I don’t understand the sentiment, I’ve had 5 different roles within the company, probably half of those su-ked but I kept looking and eventually found a good org and good group. Work doesn’t have to su-k. If you don’t like your job, find another. There’s thousands of different roles and positions at Intel.

If I got laid off I’d be trying my hardest to get back in. If you get rehired within 12 months you keep everything, salary, grade level, milestone benefits, etc. if you get rehired after 12 months you essentially start over the only thing you keep is your WWID.

@a5 because it’s an excellent place to work. Also it’s work. There aren’t unlimited employers especially if you want to stay where you live.
