Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Has the foundering begun?

If Project Dolphin is backfiring and employees are no longer being forced between re badging with a vendor or severance (not enjoying that at all, nope), how will they be able to pay off everyone? The remaining Franklin Templeton legacy staff that was scheduled for layoff on 04/27/2026 was re badged over to other Transfer Agent mutual funds, were told that there was no time certain for their continued employment. They were needed to support staffing that was not meeting SLAs. They keep training them to handle more mutual fund clients because even with this talented, tenured help, they are still not meeting goals. It seems likely that they will not be laid off, but who can tell? No savings there, either. Because the business math ain't mathing, Project Dolphin is failing. FIS cannot outrun their sh---y leadership. Glug, glug, glug.

@px someone needs to tell her she can't just wish herself into competence....

@g4 the way FIS talks about money makes no sense. While Kelley Beatty declaims that they will pay for any implementation problems (and they surely will because they cannot execute anything properly), departments are getting messages about the fear of penalties for missing SLAs and, for God's sake, no overtime. Until or unless some other problem comes up, then it's mandatory overtime for all! The whiplash is exhausting.

@g4 but the sales pitch im sure said different.
Better service! cheaper cost! complete flexibility, self training! dodge severance. Who needs your own employees?

FiS must be a dream to sell to

@g4 Wow, no solid transition of knowledge, you say? There was no incentive to do so.

@cx Savings were over estimated. It will cost more to use Cognizant than prior run rate. Revenue impacts due to lack of resources as cognizant can’t fill the roles and there wasn’t a solid transition of knowledge. Now Cognizant is trying to hire those that were cut by FIS. So the answer by the c suite is to cut more jobs to offset the bad business case in Dolphin. Meanwhile keep saying “it’s working” and don’t tell the emperor she has no clothes on. Not to mention Kelly Beatty stating FIS will pay for failed implementations. Kelly knows Dolphin has failed, but won’t own up to it and salvage what is left. Fill steam ahead as we head over the cliff. It’s working! SMH

@c2 It was a sincere question. I don't know what went wrong with Dolphin. And I am not Bob.

@bz you tell us, Bob. Can't make deep enough cuts to salvage this pyramid scheme that you are running?

What, specifically, went wrong with Dolphin?

@OP Not sure how heads haven’t rolled at the highest levels. Of course Kelly Beatty is protected but she had to give her approval along with Toohey. It will roll down a level or two for the blame. She is untouchable. There is no doubt Dolphin is an utter catastrophe and they have no clue how to salvage it except to cut more people. Let’s cut some of those top layers where the bad decisions and fat are abundant.
