Was the last year I think the company was a decent place to work IMO.

@n5 There are 20 - 25,000 US employees although declining every day. Even if a post gets 250 - 500 thumbs up/down, that a small pittance to listen to. And a lot on here are former employees/bored retirees making the relevance factor even less. That’s why MW could care less. He has his sycophants to boost his ego.

I trust someone from HR, or PGPA, or Legal monitors these posts. At some point, despite the obvious censorship that we see when too much truth is exposed, ya gotta ask yourself: how come so many people post about common themes like MW destroying what used to be a pretty good place to work and strong company culture? It can’t be that each poster is a crazy, out-of-touch lunatic. Even if you stripped the comments down to bare bones, the thread remains that MW has fu---d up this company. That should trigger action from our useless BoD. How is it that each and every employee is held accountable EXCEPT for MW? Where are his consequences for HIS fu-kups?

2013/2014 were things turned upside down due to price collapse and then in 2018 when MW took the COE job, when you put a penny pitcher in charge of an oil company nothing good comes out of it.

I was good with Chevron up until 2024. I understood the 2020 re-org with the collapse of demand. I was happy during the pandemic at Chevron. It wasn't until the layoff and return-to-office BS was announced that it became too awful to respect.

2014/2015 was around the time that they stopped viewing the employees as assets - that’s when things started going downhill. I agree that things went from bad to worse during the Covid reorg of 2020, but it’s been a decade since we’ve seen many at the VP and above level with both technical savvy and a moral compass. Certainly not any of the self serving politicians we have now.

BP got ride of head of HR aka people and culture last week. The second that top Pubas realize HR su-ks they sack them…start bringing up CVX HR so we can have them run off

This latest reorg was a cluster, and I agree 2020 was the beginning of the end for the employees. The company lacks the leadership to work out the kinks in the new org. Oh well

Yes before they started this "build the plane as you fly" mantra. Nobody wants experimental HR stuff rolled out. Explore, experiment and test, then roll out. It's not an HR company.
