I'm one of the su-kers who moved to a "HUB" to keep my job. I was told that the entire floor is all first come first serve drop-in desks, but clearly people are calling dibs and leaving personal belongings at these desks. Some even have name tags. Why can't we do anything right around here? Either they are drop ins or they're assigned. Someone should go around nightly with a garbage can and ensure these desks are empty for the next day.

I and team have sit on the desk close by near each of other. After such of time I and said team hangs the clothes lining between each of desks to do the do doings of the laundry for of drying. Noooo way we can move now. It is our space permanent. We have now a little tiny town inside said drop in. I have made amazn order for country flag for the hanging in said tiny town. You can also do such a thing for community of your belonging.
AT&T can no longer afford dedicated desks and offices for employees. Getting the maximum number of personnel into offices is the priority. When employees take vacation or are out sick, losing a dedicated spot no longer makes financial sense.
Op - did you find a desk or not?
If not, report the heck out of it to your supervisor, CRE, and your 2nd or 3rd level.
